Filed under:How ToSometimes a picture can say more than a paragraph of words. Adding a picture to your posts is easy. This is how you do it:
1) Login.
2) Click the “write” link.
3) Write your title and post.
4) When you are ready to add your picture, look for the words “add media” just below the “title field” and above the “post field”. Next to those words are links to add pictures, video, and music.
5) Click on the “add picture” link
From there, click the button to search for pictures saved on your computer. Once you select a picture you can give it a title and caption. Then click ADD INTO POST. The image will then appear in the field text.
6) Publish your post.
7) That’s it.

Filed under:How ToWhen you type “welovenewjerseycamp.com”, it takes you to the actual site. This is where you can read posts and comments, and look at camper’s profiles, etc. When you login to write a new post, it takes you to the “Dashboard”. This is where you edit your posts and profile settings, ect.
It is a little confusing how to go back and forth from the “Dashboard” to the actual site. Here is how you do it.
1) Go to welovenewjerseycamp.com.
2) Login.
3) Now you are in the “Dashboard”. To get back to the actual site, look for the “Visit Site” link next to the words “New Jersey Camp” on the top write of the page. This takes you back to the site to read posts and comments.
4) Now that you are back to the site, you may remember something else you want to write about. To get back to your “Dashboard”, click the “Dashboard” link at the bottom left of the homepage.
5) That’s it.

Filed under:How ToWriting a post is simple. Writing and reading posts is the whole point of this blog. Use this blog to past about camp, spiritual messages, or what you had for dinner. Whatever you want. Here’s how to write a post.
1) Login.
2) Once you see the “Dashboard”, click the “write” link.
3) Type your title, and message.
4) Before you publish your post, check out some of the extra fields below the body of the post. You can create “tags” so people can find your posts. If your post is all about “Battle Ball”, type “battle ball” as a tag. If someone searches for “battle ball” on the site, your post will appear. Also, check or create a new category for your post. You can also select or create custom fields for your post. This is where you can list your mood or what music you’re listening to.
5) Once you are done typing your post, CLICK THE “PUBLISH” link. If you click “save” it won’t appear on the site. “Save” only stores it on the draft page.

Filed under:How ToCategories are a cool feature on the site. They are a way that we can organize and categorize posts. The default category is “Camp Shout Out”. If you are writing a generic post, this category is sufficient.
But maybe you want to make a lot of posts about specific cool memories from camp. You can create your own category called “Cool Camp Memories”. Then whenever you write about winning the “Battle Ball” championship, you can put it in the “Cool Camp Memories” category. Others will be able to write posts under your category as well. Once a category is created, a link is added on the homepage. You will see links with all the categories and number of posts within the category. Click on the link to filter the posts to that single category.
Here’s how to create new category.
1) Login.
2) Click the “write” link.
3) Write your post like normal.
4) Before you publish your post, scroll down and look for the category section. You can either select an existing category, or click the “add new category” link.\
5) Type the name of the category in the field, and then click “add”
6) Your post will be categorized by the new category. You will see the link to this category on the front page.
7) That’s it.
